This piece is a work in progress. It is in response to the metallic bonding that occurs in metallic elements such as copper where the electrons (negatively charged) in the atom’s outer shell are free and delocalise to bond with copper ions (positively charged atoms of copper) by electostatic.

This interrelation creates a giant structure ‘face-centered cubic lattice’ which gives the copper (and other metal) its malleability.
